<dc:description>

The Green Bond (GB) market has not been as effective as anticipated in tackling the global climate change crisis. There is a substantive investment gap worldwide in meeting the financing needs of green projects. Thus, this study reviewed key publications of international market players from 2007 to 2021 to identify how key stakeholders perceive the GB market. We employed a qualitative research approach using document analysis. In addition to this, a number of interviews were conducted to validate the findings by providing suggestive and supportive evidence. The findings indicate structural constraints affecting both supply and demand dynamics in the GB market. This study contributes to the literature by integrating documentary evidence and stakeholder perspectives into a unified conceptual framework that explains the institutional and market barriers affecting the global scaling of Green Bond markets and identifies implications for future policy development.

</dc:description>
