<dc:description><p dir="ltr">This study developed a context-grounded socio-technical framework for responsibly integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI)-assisted safety management within the Philippine Construction Occupational Safety and Health (COSH) context. An exploratory multiphase mixed-methods design that integrates a PRISMA-guided systematic review with local stakeholder inquiry and comparative gap analysis. Of 183 records initially retrieved from Scopus and ScienceDirect, 44 studies were included to establish the international technological and operational baseline. Local conditions were examined through an exploratory questionnaire involving 10 construction and occupational safety professionals in Metro Manila and in-depth inquiries with three key informants. Findings indicate that although AI technologies increasingly support hazard detection, monitoring, documentation, and risk assessment, their responsible local integration depends on regulatory clarity, reliable and secure data infrastructure, organizational and workforce readiness, and continued human oversight. The synthesis resulted in a proposed framework comprising three interdependent pillars: Regulatory and Legal Governance, Data Management, and Site-Level Operational Execution, supported by human-in-the-loop verification and continuous feedback. The study concludes that AI should function as an augmentative rather than autonomous safety mechanism, with competent human actors retaining professional judgment and accountability. The proposed framework provides an evidence-grounded basis for future institutional review, pilot implementation, and empirical validation within Philippine construction practice.</p></dc:description>
