          <dc:description>&lt;p dir="ltr"&gt;This dataset contains the confirmation and surprise dictionary developed for the study “More than sentiment: confirmation and surprise expressed by China’s central bank,” together with the selected adjectives and adverbs used as degree modifiers in the measurement of confirmation and surprise. The dictionary contains 83 terms expressing confirmation and 275 terms expressing surprise. The selected adjectives and adverbs are classified into six degree levels: “over”, “most”, “very”, “more”, “slightly”, and “insufficiently”. The original Chinese terms and their English translations are provided in the dictionary, while the original Chinese words and their English translations are provided for the selected adjectives and adverbs.&lt;/p&gt;</dc:description>
