The international survey examines students’ use of ChatGPT for academic and other purposes, perceptions of its capabilities, regulation and ethical implications, satisfaction with the technology, perceived effects on study outcomes and skills development, and expectations concerning its wider educational and labour-market implications. The dataset supports comparative analyses across countries and student characteristics and contributes to the longitudinal examination of university students’ engagement with generative artificial intelligence. Data were collected through an extensive international network of research partners.
