Data and supporting materials for “Value-weighted accessibility of linear cultural heritage from resident and accommodation-based tourist perspectives: evidence from the Jinzhong section of the Great Tea Road” Lihao Meng (25156806) Heritage tourism, visitor and audience studies linear cultural heritage <p dir="ltr">This dataset contains the data and supporting materials used for the manuscript entitled “Value-weighted accessibility of linear cultural heritage from resident and accommodation-based tourist perspectives: evidence from the Jinzhong section of the Great Tea Road.”</p><p dir="ltr">The study evaluates value-weighted accessibility to 408 heritage sites in the Jinzhong section of the Great Tea Road, China, for 5,809 resident demand units and 264 accommodation-based overnight tourist-demand points under walking, cycling, public-transport, and driving scenarios.</p><p dir="ltr">The deposited package includes heritage-weighting and Cultural Corridor Spatial Pattern Model (CCSPM) files; resident and accommodation-based tourist demand-unit tables; the WorldPop-based population raster used in the resident analysis; first-step supply-to-demand ratio (Rj) and second-step accessibility (Ai) outputs from the Gaussian two-step floating catchment area (2SFCA) analysis; demand-weighted Gini coefficient workbooks; location-quotient workbooks; and K-means input, output, diagnostic, and code files. An inventory document is included to explain the folder structure, data content, and principal variables.</p><p dir="ltr">Heritage supply data were compiled from field surveys conducted from November 2023 to August 2024 and from local cultural relic inventories and route spatial data. Resident demand was derived from the WorldPop 2020 population dataset. Travel-cost analysis used OpenStreetMap road-network data downloaded in January 2024. Accommodation-based overnight tourist demand was derived from accommodation-facility capacity and occupancy information.</p><p dir="ltr">Raw third-party accommodation-platform records are not redistributed because their reuse and redistribution are subject to the terms and conditions of the data provider. The processed and aggregated tourist demand-unit data supporting the analyses reported in the manuscript are included in this dataset. Users should consult the respective providers’ terms and licences when reusing third-party source data.
