<dc:description>
We analyzed 483,715 dengue cases reported across Bangladesh's eight divisions, using 8,768 division-days from January 2022 to December 2024. We linked the daily counts to temperature, rainfall, humidity and sunshine from the Bangladesh Meteorological Department.

Our main model was negative binomial regression. We then tested the results with three other methods: generalized estimating equations, zero-inflated negative binomial regression, and Poisson regression with Driscoll-Kraay errors. We also ran a distributed-lag model for temperature.

Temperature was the only weather factor with a robust link. Cases were lower at cooler temperatures and somewhat lower again at the highest temperatures. A 28-day lag fitted best, and a 14-day lag was almost as good. Humidity looked positive in standard models but lost support once we allowed for correlation between neighboring days. Rainfall and sunshine showed no robust link.

The findings are ecological. They rest on three years, and 2023 accounts for two-thirds of all cases. The data are reported counts without population denominators. The results do not support fixed weather-threshold alerts.
</dc:description>
