<dc:description>
Performance expectancy, individuals’ beliefs about the usefulness of digital transformation, could impact individuals’ intention, use, and satisfaction with technologies, yet remains an understudied topic among immigrant populations. Drawing on social capital theory, we examine how bonding and bridging social capital shape performance expectancy across different domains of digital transformation and whether these associations differ by nativity status. Using the 2022 Digital Divide Survey (N = 8,400; 7,000 native South Koreans, 700 marriage immigrants, 700 North Korean migrants), regression analyses showed that bridging social capital had positive associations with performance expectancy (b ranging from 0.43 to 0.62, p < 0.001), whereas bonding social capital was negative, particularly for networking (b = −0.09, p < 0.001) and remote work/learning (b = −0.08, p < 0.001). North Korean migrants reported the highest adjusted means of performance expectancy across all domains. Results highlight that diverse social networks generate greater perceived benefits from digital transformation.
</dc:description>
