<dc:description>
This repository contains aggregate analytical data, reproduction code, provenance metadata, tables, and figures supporting the study “A Rise-Then-Fall Pattern in Recorded Aid-Station Dwell Time Across Mountain Ultramarathons.”

The study examined recorded aid-station dwell time across 27 editions of the Hardrock 100 and The Bear 100. The complete-phase analytic cohort included 2,516 athlete-event entries and 30,418 eligible aid-station visits. Recorded dwell was defined using paired IN and OUT timing records and summarized across four distance-based race phases.

The materials in this repository support edition-level and aggregate analytical reproducibility. From the included edition-level summaries, users can reproduce the principal phase estimates, adjacent-phase changes, edition-level direction counts, race-family descriptive summaries, and the 10,000-draw family-stratified edition bootstrap used for the main results. The repository also contains the source data and code used to reproduce the reported tables and figures.

Sensitivity analyses S1–S3 are included as frozen-output cross-checks. Their edition-level sensitivity outcome inputs were not retained in this release candidate; therefore, these sensitivity analyses should not be described as fully reproduced from underlying edition-level sensitivity data.

The underlying race records were obtained from publicly accessible OpenSplitTime pages. This repository does not redistribute raw OpenSplitTime webpages, person-level race records, athlete names, bib numbers, or participant-level IN/OUT timestamps. Source URLs, retrieval metadata, and source hashes are provided for provenance. Public accessibility of the original source pages should not be interpreted as unrestricted permission to redistribute the underlying third-party records.

The study protocol was reviewed by the Dongshin University Institutional Review Board and was determined to qualify for exemption from full ethical review (Exemption No. 2026-001-0084; approval date: June 4, 2026). The study involved no direct contact with athletes and used no non-public personally identifiable information. In accordance with the IRB determination, the requirement for individual informed consent was waived.

</dc:description>
