<dc:description><p dir="ltr">In this report we introduce and discuss what we have learnt about life in future Australian cities, and the values and priorities that people imagine are likely to structure their possible future urban lives. Informed by 12 months of ethnographic fieldwork with 63 people in 8 urban sites across Australia, these foresights anticipate everyday life in Australian cities in the year 2050. They reframe established understandings of how people will live in future Australian cities and how they will experience and participate in the ‘twin’ digital and net zero transitions. The foresights delivered in this report forms part of a wider programme of research led by Monash University’s FUTURES Hub which will build on and investigate these complications to deliver new knowledge about future everyday life in cities, and its role in Australia’s digital and net zero transition, including plausible visions of future Australian cities.</p></dc:description>
