The model defines dark energy as pure cosmic energy, which in the current cosmic phase is one superposed, non-quantized cosmic entity in which all closed strings are structurally merged, and not a collection of gravitons. Its mass counterpart, pure cosmic mass, is currently quantized in the form of a cosmic void composed of closed mass membranes. Cosmic expansion results from the expansion of these membranes through their interaction with dark energy, and has no relation to the space inside galaxies. By an existential condition, two pure counterparts cannot both remain superposed; therefore, when the membranes reach their maximum spatial extent and merge into one cosmic spatial dimension, forming the final cosmic bubble, pure cosmic energy becomes quantized, its closed strings become separate and vibrate, and gravitons emerge, only at the end of the universe. The end of the universe is accordingly the end of cosmic expansion. The paper also distinguishes relativistic gravity, which is the curvature of spacetime and is not quantized, from pure gravity, and states that the graviton is not a fourth force.
