<dc:description>
Sampling locations were between Lock and Dam 17 (L&D 17; the furthest upstream extent of Pool 18) and the confluence of the Ohio and Mississippi rivers. Sampling sites were distributed within each pool of the UMR between L&D 17 and L&D 26. In the un-impounded portion of the UMR, six large tributary confluences: the Missouri, Meramec, Kaskaskia, Big Muddy, Headwater Diversion Channel, and Ohio rivers were targeted for sampling. The map was generated using Esri ArcGIS Pro version 3.5.6. Map layers for state boundaries and major river lines within the USA were obtained from U.S. Geological Survey’s National Map public-domain geospatial database (https://www.usgs.gov/programs/). The map layer for Lock and Dam locations was obtained from U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Geospatial Open Data (https://geospatial-usace.opendata.arcgis.com/), which are also in the public domain. The map layer for political boundaries of Mexico and Canada was obtained from geoBoundaries (https://www.geoboundaries.org/), licensed under CC BY 4.0.
</dc:description>
