<dc:description>
This dataset contains anonymised transcripts of interviews with mothers at increased risk of breast cancer who had dependent children. The interviews explored how participants understood their breast cancer risk, experienced weight management within family life, and viewed family support for weight loss and breast cancer risk reduction.

The interviews were analysed using interpretative phenomenological analysis for the study “Breast cancer risk, motherhood and self-care: An interpretative phenomenological analysis of weight management for breast cancer risk reduction within family life”. The transcripts are provided to support further qualitative research and interpretation of the published findings.

The uploaded files also include the participant information sheet and the consent form used during the study.
</dc:description>
