<dc:description>
This repository contains aggregated data, analytical outputs, methodological documentation and R code supporting the study “Dietary Fatty-Acid Quality in Emerging Adulthood: Omega-3, Omega-6 and Food Sources in UK University Students”.

The study characterised dietary fatty-acid intake in 111 young adults aged 18–22 years attending a UK university. Dietary intake was assessed using an expanded semi-quantitative food-frequency questionnaire and processed using Nutritics. The analyses included total fat, saturated fatty acids (SFA), monounsaturated fatty acids (MUFA), polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFA), omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids, trans fatty acids, and individual fatty acids including linoleic acid, alpha-linolenic acid, arachidonic acid, EPA, DPA and DHA. Nutritionally relevant indicators and food-source contributions were also examined.

The public package contains aggregated results supporting the main and supplementary tables and figures, aggregated food-source contribution data, methodological inputs, R analysis code, quality-assurance documentation and information required to interpret the analytical workflow.

Participant-level dietary records, participant identifiers, raw FFQ and Nutritics/Access source files, participant × FoodName records, detailed FoodName-level dietary contributions, and complete food-composition crosswalks are not included in this public repository. These exclusions protect participant confidentiality and prevent disclosure of participant-level information beyond that required to support the reported study.

Some R scripts therefore require non-public source data and are provided to document the analytical procedures and enhance methodological transparency rather than as a fully executable public participant-level dataset.
</dc:description>
