Keely Bowler: Going The Extra Carbon to Build a Better Drug Keely Bowler (25136287) Natural products and bioactive compounds Organic chemistry synthesis lignans plants podophyllotoxin <p dir="ltr">Lignans are compounds found in plants that have been found to have biological activities in humans. Podophyllotoxin is a lignan well know for its anticancer activity, however its toxicity and instability makes it a poor drug.
