<dc:description>
Video footage of Amphioctopus mototi recorded in Ningaloo Reef during routine biodiversity monitoring surveys using Baited Remote Underwater Video (BRUV) systems. The video highlights key identifying characteristics of the species, including the distinctive dark ocellus spots and conspicuous body patterning. It also documents a range of notable behaviours, including rapid body pattern changes, reproductive behaviour, locomotion, hunting, and a predation attempt by a fish. The authors would like to acknowledge Nidhi Menon for assistance with image analysis, Mark Norman for his taxonomic expertise and guidance on octopus identification, and Clodagh Guildea for assistance with image preparation. We also thank the crew of the RV Linnaeus; Logan Hellmrich, Daisy Church, Nick Mortimer, Ryan Crossing, Erin Scurfield, Michael Ledger, and Niels Glahn-Bertelsen for their assistance with BRUV surveys. We acknowledge the Traditional Owners of Ningaloo, including the Baiyungu, Thalanyji, and Yinigudura peoples, and recognise their enduring cultural and spiritual connections to land and sea.
</dc:description>
