<dc:description>
Poster presenting BMBC-Sim (Biomechanics and Biochemistry Simulator), an open-source, Python-based simulation environment for modeling coupled biomechanical and biochemical processes in biological systems. BMBC-Sim enables the definition of complex geometries, material properties, chemical species and their interactions, and the coupling of biochemical and mechanical processes through partial differential equations (PDEs) solved using finite element methods. The poster demonstrates the framework through benchmark problems and applications involving calcium dynamics, complex biological geometries, and concentration-dependent mechanical deformation.

Presented at Biology and Engineering of the Cell Surface, HHMI Janelia

Research Campus, Ashburn, Virginia, USA, October 2025.
</dc:description>
