<dc:description><p dir="ltr">The article examines the transformation of Uzbek portrait art in the 1970s–1980s, tracing its evolution from a socially-typical hero to an individualized interpretation of personality. It identifies key artistic factors behind this process, highlighting the roles of psychological analysis, realistic traditions, and the synthesis of Western and Eastern art heritage (particularly European Renaissance and classic portraiture). Through the works of B. Jalolov, M. Tukhtaev, S. Rakhmetov, and A. Ikramdjanov, the study demonstrates how portraits shifted focus toward revealing the spiritual, intellectual, and inner psychological world of creative intellectuals.</p></dc:description>
