<dc:description>
American University's Healthy Schools, Healthy Communities Lab annual evaluation of DC Central Kitchen's Healthy Corners (HC) program in Washington, DC. This year marks the 10th year of collaboration between DCCK and AU's HSHC Lab as well as the 15th year of the HC Store Program. Consistent with previous years, the 2026 evaluation employed a mixed-methods approach incorporating Customer Intercept surveys and Healthy Corner Scorecard analysis. Together, these evaluation tools collected data on shopper's behavior, perceptions, and awareness of the HC program, as well as their food access preferences, participation in nutrition assistance programs, and basic demographic characteristics.

For the sixth consecutive year, the AU research team also collected participant-level core metrics required by the Nutrition Incentive Hub as part of the U.S. Department of Agriculture's (USDA) Gus Schumacher Nutrition Incentive Program (GusNIP) for Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) participants.
</dc:description>
