<dc:description><p dir="ltr">This dataset contains the processed numerical data underlying the figures of the article "Effect of wingbeat frequency and stroke plane angle on aerodynamic efficiency and stability in hovering flight" (Frontiers in Physiology). The data were obtained from a validated computational framework integrating high-fidelity aerodynamic (CFD) simulation with linearized flight-dynamics analysis of hovering hawkmoth flight. Kinematic conditions were generated by independently varying the wingbeat frequency and the stroke plane angle from the measured natural kinematics, while maintaining the force balance required for hovering (the trim condition). For each condition, the files provide the trimmed kinematics, the aerodynamic forces and mechanical power, the aerodynamic stability derivatives, and the eigenvalues of the linearized system, together with the reduced lateral-model sensitivities used in the Supplementary Material. The Python script plot_from_csv.py (requiring only numpy, pandas, and matplotlib) reproduces the data panels of the main-text and supplementary figures from these files.</p></dc:description>
