<dc:description><p dir="ltr">In this quasi-experimental study of 120 undergraduate medical students in an internal medicine clerkship, virtual patient (VP) simulation was associated with higher organizational efficiency on the Mini-CEX and with better discipline-specific (near-transfer) OSCE performance, whereas total Mini-CEX scores and training duration showed no significant association with outcomes. We believe these findings will interest the readers of Medical Education Online because they address how technology-enhanced learning translates into performance in real clinical settings, a question of direct relevance to curriculum developers in medical schools worldwide.</p></dc:description>
