<dc:description>
This open engineering benchmark dataset contains 200 deterministic state vectors evaluating thermodynamic phase equilibrium, Lower Flammability Limits (LFL), and maximum allowable charge sizing for next-generation low-GWP A2L refrigerants (R-454B, R-32, R-454A, and R-1234yf) alongside baseline R-410A under ANSI/ASHRAE Standard 15-2024 Section 7 and UL 60335-2-40 (4th Edition) Annex GG.

Under the EPA AIM Act 40 CFR Part 84, comfort cooling stationary equipment manufactured after January 1, 2025/2026 must utilize refrigerants with GWP < 700. This dataset tabulates passive unmitigated charge limits (m1 = 0.20 × LFL × V_eff), required minimum room volumes and floor areas across 8 architectural space volumes (250 to 5,000 cu ft) and 5 system charge thresholds (2.5 to 12.0 lb), and classifies required safety mitigation tiers (Tier 0 passive, Tier 1 continuous circulation airflow, and Tier 2 active Refrigerant Detection Systems with interlocked mechanical ventilation). In addition, zeotropic temperature glide (ΔT_glide = T_dew - T_bubble) and thermodynamic reference points for superheat (dew point) and subcooling (bubble point) are explicitly mapped per NIST REFPROP formulations.

File Asset: public/datasets/a2l_refrigerant_flammability_glide_benchmark_2026.csv (200 rows, 44.8 KB).

License: Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0).
</dc:description>
