<dc:description>
This dataset supports research on the relationship between digitalization, green finance, renewable energy, industrialization, economic growth, and environmental sustainability in South Asia. It covers Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Nepal, and Sri Lanka and includes variables related to carbon dioxide emissions, ecological footprint, load capacity factor, biocapacity, digitalization, green finance, renewable energy consumption, industrialization, and real GDP per capita. The study framework evaluates environmental sustainability through multiple indicators and examines the Environmental Kuznets Curve (EKC) and Load Capacity Curve (LCC) hypotheses.

The digitalization measure is based on internet usage, mobile subscriptions, and fixed broadband penetration, while green finance represents financial flows directed toward clean-energy and renewable-energy activities. The dataset also includes transformed variables required for panel econometric analysis, including logarithmic measures and the squared income term used to examine nonlinear growth–environment relationships.

The repository includes country-year panel datasets together with a data dictionary and Python code for data generation and analysis support. The files are suitable for panel-data analysis, environmental economics research, green-finance studies, econometric modelling, sensitivity analysis, methodological development, and teaching purposes. Researchers may also use the dataset to investigate related questions concerning digital transformation, energy transition, sustainable development, and environmental performance in emerging South Asian economies.
</dc:description>
