<dc:description>
This dataset contains global 10-m utility-scale photovoltaic (PV) power plant polygon products for 2025 and 2026. The products were generated from Sentinel-2 imagery using a prompt-guided, supervised fine-tuned SAM2 framework. Coarse candidate polygons from the TZ-SAM solar asset inventory were translated into bounding-box and distance-transform-based soft-mask prompts to refine PV power plant boundaries.

The dataset includes PV facilities larger than 0.05 km² within the corresponding TZ-SAM candidate inventory. It is intended for applications including global PV mapping, renewable-energy monitoring, land-use analysis, and assessments of photovoltaic expansion.

Users should note that this is a boundary-refined product conditional on the TZ-SAM candidate inventory; facilities absent from that inventory and PV facilities smaller than 0.05 km², including most distributed rooftop PV, are not represented.
</dc:description>
