<dc:description>
This dataset contains geographic range polygons for terrestrial mammal species used in the ecometric analyses. The original species distribution polygons were downloaded from the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species spatial data resources. The spatial dataset was stored as an ESRI Shapefile and imported into R using the
sf
package. The polygons were used to determine species occurrence across geographic sampling locations and to construct community-level trait summaries for subsequent ecometric analyses.
</dc:description>
