<dc:description><p>The Learning and Burning Project was a community-focused initiative supporting Anangu priorities to strengthen young people’s engagement with culture, Country and traditional practices at Uluru–Kata Tjuta National Park. Developed collaboratively with Parks Australia, Nyangatjatjarra College, Mutitjulu Primary School and the Nature Connection Project, the project brought young Anangu people together with Elders and Mala Rangers through on-Country cultural burning, camping, cooking and storytelling activities. Community films and educational resources were created to support reflection, knowledge sharing and cultural continuity. This report documents the project’s development, activities and outcomes and reflects on key lessons for respectful community engagement, including the importance of responding to community-identified priorities, building trusted relationships, working flexibly, supporting local leadership, and ensuring project outputs provide direct value to community.</p></dc:description>
