Participants were recruited consecutively with proportional allocation. Pregnancy-specific anxiety was measured using the Pregnancy-Related Anxiety Questionnaire–Revised 2 (PRAQ-R2), mental health knowledge using the Mental Health Knowledge Scale (MHKS), and perceived social support using the Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support (MSPSS). Data were analysed using chi-square tests and binary logistic regression.</p><p dir="ltr">Pregnancy-specific anxiety was present in 44.5% of participants. Third-trimester gestation, history of abortion, poor mental health knowledge, and primigravida status remained independently associated with anxiety, whereas sociodemographic characteristics and perceived social support did not.</p><p dir="ltr">Ethical approval was granted by the Health Research Ethics Committee, Faculty of Public Health, Hasanuddin University, Makassar, Indonesia (approval number 100/UN4.14.1/TP.01.02/2025; protocol number 301224093090; 17 January 2025).
