<dc:description><p dir="ltr">This paper introduces the concept of the unresolved image as a visual condition in which an artwork does not converge toward a single dominant emotional interpretation, but sustains multiple simultaneously active and potentially conflicting emotional states. While previous studies of visual perception have often examined emotional recognition through the identification and intensity of individual responses, this research proposes emotional superposition as a distinct perceptual phenomenon: the coexistence of several emotional interpretations without immediate resolution.</p></dc:description>
