<dc:description><p dir="ltr">This study describes the development and application of a wheat-compatible prime-editing system to introduce the Lr67-associated TaSTP13(G144R) resistance allele into the A, B, and D TaSTP13 homoeologs of hexaploid wheat. Edited lines were generated and characterized for editing efficiency, followed by evaluation of leaf rust resistance using disease severity, fungal biomass quantification, and defense-related gene expression. The results demonstrate the potential of prime editing to directly introduce resistance-associated alleles into wheat.</p></dc:description>
