<dc:description><p dir="ltr">Out-of-field teaching raises curriculum and instruction concern when teachers are assigned subjects outside their area of specialization. This study examined the instructional support out-of-field teachers need and the lived experiences of Master Teachers in supporting them. Using transcendental phenomenology, data were gathered through interviews, qualitative surveys, and a focus group discussion with Master Teachers, out-of-field teachers, and school heads in a public secondary school in the Philippines. The study included 13 Master Teachers who responded to the qualitative survey, five of whom were selected for in-depth interviews; 47 out-of-field teachers who responded to the qualitative survey; and six School Heads who participated in the focus group discussion. Six themes showed how Master Teachers understood the out-of-field teaching context, provided responsive and collaborative support, built enabling professional relationships, engaged in reciprocal professional learning, and extended their instructional leadership. Through analytic-conceptual synthesis, the findings informed the development of an Instructional Leadership Framework for Curriculum and Instructional Support. The framework is grounded in the out-of-field teaching context, from which Contextual Understanding informs Professional Judgment in determining appropriate assistance. At its core are Responsive Instructional Support and Collaborative Enactment, enabled by Enabling Professional Relationships. Both pathways are ultimately oriented toward meaningful student learning.</p></dc:description>
