<dc:description><p dir="ltr">This dataset provides simulated water depth and two horizontal flow-velocity components for 143 cities across 30 provincial-level administrative regions in mainland China. Simulations were performed using a unified coupled hydrological–hydrodynamic framework under a 120-min design storm with a 100-year return period. Rainfall magnitudes were determined from city-specific intensity–duration–frequency parameters, using a common Chicago rainfall profile with a peak-position ratio of 0.4. Outputs are provided as three-band GeoTIFF files on a 90-m grid at 1-min intervals from 1 to 120 min after rainfall onset. The data describe responses to a prescribed design-rainfall scenario, with rainfall magnitudes varying among cities. Their consistent spatial resolution, output interval and file structure facilitate cross-city comparisons and hydrodynamic-model evaluation. They can also support the development and benchmarking of surrogate models and other methods for spatiotemporal flood prediction.</p></dc:description>
