<dc:description><p dir="ltr">This dataset was generated from a study assessing honeybee forage resources, seasonal floral phenology, and beekeepers’ knowledge in the Southern, Southeastern, and Eastern Zones of Tigray, Ethiopia. The study aimed to characterize the diversity and seasonal availability of honeybee forage plants, identify critical periods of forage scarcity, and assess beekeepers’ knowledge of forage plants and flowering calendars. A cross-sectional survey using a multistage sampling approach was conducted among 378 beekeeping households. Data were collected through semi-structured questionnaires, key informant interviews, and focus group discussions. The study documented 82 honeybee forage plant species belonging to 22 botanical families and evaluated their growth forms, flowering periods, and nectar and pollen resources. The dataset also contains information used to assess seasonal flowering richness, forage gaps, growth-form complementarity, and factors associated with beekeepers’ knowledge of honeybee forage resources and flowering calendars. The study provides evidence on seasonal floral-resource dynamics and can support honeybee forage conservation, restoration, and seasonal beekeeping management in Tigray and comparable dryland agroecosystems.</p></dc:description>
