Data and analysis code: Medical student perceptions of ophthalmology as a career in an era of rising competition Mubeen Hasan (25076167) Ophthalmology Ophthalmology -- Research -- Methodology Career choice factors Specialty training Undergraduate medical education framework <p dir="ltr">This dataset contains the de-identified, response-level survey data (n=47) and analysis code underlying the manuscript "Medical student perceptions of ophthalmology as a career in an era of rising competition: a cross-sectional survey," submitted to PLOS ONE. Data were collected via an anonymous, voluntary online survey of medical students conducted between 20 February and 4 March 2023, examining perceptions of ophthalmology across nine domains (including lifestyle, prestige, clinical variety and training pathway) and perceived deterrence from rising specialty competition ratios. No identifying information was collected at any stage.
