Dataset for Cancer Stigma score at baseline and followup and cervical cancer screening uptake priyanka timsina (25069327) Behavioural epidemiology Cancer stigma Cervical cancer Cervical cancer screening Screening uptake Stigma reduction intervention Cancer stigma score Community-based intervention Cluster-randomized controlled trial Cancer prevention Nepal <p dir="ltr">This dataset accompanies the thesis entitled “Effectiveness of a Community-Based Cervical Cancer Stigma Reduction Intervention on Cancer Stigma and Cervical Cancer Screening Uptake in Nepal: A Cluster-Randomized Controlled Trial” and contains data used to examine the relationship between cancer stigma and cancer screening uptake among 30-60 years women in Budanilkantha municipality.</p><p dir="ltr">The dataset includes measures of cancer stigma across domains perceived severity, personal responsibility, awkwardness, avoidance, financial discrimination and opposition to cancer-related policies. Mean scores were calculated for each domain. Overall stigma scores across the domains were dichotomized into stigma (mean score < 3) and no stigma (mean score ≥ 3).</p><p dir="ltr">Data files is provided:</p><ol><li>S4_Dataset_Stigma Score – dataset containing cancer stigma-related variables and derived stigma scores.</li><li>S4_Dataset_Screeninguptake -contains data on cervical cancer screening uptake used to assess screening participation and related study outcomes.</li></ol><p dir="ltr">Data were collected as part of Effectiveness of a Community-Based Cervical Cancer Stigma Reduction Intervention on Cancer Stigma and Cervical Cancer Screening Uptake in Nepal: A Cluster-Randomized Controlled Trial during June 2022 to February 2023.
