<b>Supplementary Material 1: Additional Examined Material</b> Thai Oliveira-Silva (24736375) Guilherme Medeiros Antar (7419473) Plant and fungus systematics and taxonomy Atlantic Forest Caryophyllales conservation floristic <p dir="ltr">Microteaceae is monogeneric, comprising the genus <i>Microtea </i>and ten species distributed throughout the Neotropical region. In Brazil, the family is found mainly in the Northeast region and occurs in six phytogeographic domains, including the Atlantic Forest. In Espírito Santo, a state inserted within this domain, three species have been preliminarily cited. In accordance with the project “Flora do Espírito Santo”, which aims to provide the floristic treatment of all vascular plant families occurring in the state, this study aimed to complete the flora of Microteaceae for Espírito Santo. Through field expeditions, literature review, and remote and in-person analysis in herbaria, <i>Microtea celosioides</i> and <i>Microtea maypurensis</i> were recognized among 40 recorded specimens, discarding the occurrence of <i>Microtea glochidiata</i> due to previous incorrect identifications. The taxonomic treatment provides complete descriptions and an identification key, as well as a distribution map, photographic plates, phenological graphs, and comments on the habitat and ecology of the species.
