The dataset was compiled from the OECD Climate Actions and Policies Measurement Framework (CAPMF), the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), and the World Bank World Development Indicators (WDI).</p><p dir="ltr">Climate policy is represented by OECD CAPMF indicators covering sectoral, cross-sectoral and international policy areas. The sectoral indicators distinguish between market-based and non-market-based policy instruments in electricity, transport, industry and buildings. Industrial competitiveness is represented by the UNIDO Competitive Industrial Performance Index, while energy intensity captures the amount of primary energy used relative to economic output. The dataset also includes GDP per capita, GDP growth, trade openness, urbanisation and foreign direct investment.</p><p dir="ltr">Country identifiers and a study-specific income-group variable are included to facilitate panel and comparative analysis. Variables are provided in their original numerical scales without logarithmic transformation or imputation. Missing observations have been retained as missing rather than replaced with estimated values.</p><p dir="ltr">The dataset is intended to support research on climate policy, energy transition, industrial competitiveness and sustainable development.
