<dc:description><p dir="ltr">As AI chatbots become integrated into financial services, interaction failures can undermine users’ trust. This study examines whether visible human–AI collaboration cues support trust recovery through recovery expectation. Drawing on interdependence theory, we investigate coordination, team goal, and supervisory cues. A scenario-based online experiment with 398 participants examined cognitive, affective, and functional failures. Repeated-measures ANOVA and mediation analyses using MEMORE and PROCESS showed that coordination and team goal cues increased recovery expectation across all failure types, whereas the supervisory cue had no significant effect. Recovery expectation was positively associated with trusting intention, and coordination and team goal cues showed significant indirect effects on trusting intention through recovery expectation. No significant differences in cue effects emerged across failure types. These findings highlight visible human–AI collaboration, particularly coordination and shared team goals, as a trust-recovery strategy after AI interaction failures, with recovery expectation serving as an explanatory pathway.</p></dc:description>
