At Day 30, mean weight gain was 0.60 versus 0.43 kg (unadjusted mean difference 0.17 kg, 95% CI 0.07–0.27; reported P=0.001); at Day 90, the difference was 0.10 kg (95% CI −0.06 to 0.26; P=0.240).
