<dc:description><p dir="ltr">The expansion of computing power infrastructure is increasing pressure on electricity supply. However, the spatial mismatch between computing demand clusters and power-rich regions constrains digital infrastructure deployment and energy transition. Using panel data for 297 Chinese cities at the prefecture level and above from 2012 to 2024, this study applies entropy-weighted TOPSIS to evaluate computing power and electric power development, and a coupling coordination model to examine the spatiotemporal evolution of their coordination and its effect on inclusive green growth. Three findings emerge. First, power infrastructure advantages do not generally translate into comparable computing power strengths. Power-sector development consistently exceeded computing power development, and more than 90% of cities lagged in computing power. Second, although the overall spatial concentration of coupling coordination declined, local patterns became more fragmented. Spillovers from established core areas weakened, while new coordination nodes emerged in relative isolation, suggesting that spatial diffusion did not necessarily strengthen regional linkages. Third, closer coordination between computing power and electricity significantly promoted inclusive green growth. Green technological innovation and improved resource allocation efficiency were important channels. The effect varied by urban administrative status and region: it was stronger in non-central cities than in central cities, and statistically insignificant in Northeast and Northwest China. These findings suggest that the growth benefits of improved coordination depend on a city’s ability to convert coordination into green innovation and efficient resource allocation, as well as on its administrative position and regional conditions.</p></dc:description>
