<dc:description>
This repository contains the data, code, statistical outputs, bootstrap results, figure source data, and reproducibility materials supporting the study “Beyond Hourly Counts: Daily Quantity and Intraday Allocation of Pedestrian and Bike-Channel Trail Traffic Across Temperature Variation.”

The study examines two complementary dimensions of temperature-related urban trail traffic: daily quantity, representing variation in total daily passage volume, and intraday timing, representing how an observed daily volume is distributed across the hours of the day.

The analysis uses publicly available hourly pedestrian and bike-channel counter records from two urban trails in Seattle, Washington, linked to audited hourly meteorological observations from NOAA/NCEI. The primary timing analysis includes 12,864 hourly mode-specific observations across 134 complete dates, while a longer Mountains to Sound Trail series is used for temporal and seasonal diagnostic analyses.

The repository includes derived analysis datasets, R and Python analysis scripts, moving-block bootstrap replicates, primary and sensitivity-analysis results, seasonal and weather-station comparison outputs, source data for the main and supplementary figures, data dictionaries, provenance documentation, and reproducibility checks.

The underlying Seattle trail-counter and NOAA meteorological observations originate from publicly available third-party sources. Their provenance and source terms are documented in the repository. The repository does not claim ownership of the original public data sources.

The materials are provided to support transparent reproduction of the reported analyses and figures. The study does not contain identifiable individual-level data; automated counters record aggregate passage events rather than unique persons.
</dc:description>
