<dc:description>10 Guitar Project: Volume 2 is an album of nine original compositions for an ensemble featuring ten electric guitars, recorded live at Venue 505, Sydney in 2015, with additional overdubs in 2025. The project extends a practice established by the 10 Guitar Project (2010), and applies an open-composition framework — a Western art music practice in which works are deliberately designed to offer multiple possible realisations through performer involvement in the compositional process — across all nine works. Compositional techniques include parametric indeterminacy, conductor-cued formal structures, and improvisation over harmonic frameworks. These strategies distribute creative agency across the ensemble while maintaining compositional coherence, investigating how open-compositional practice can organise collective performer decision-making and real-time arrangement. The album features twelve of Australia's leading jazz musicians and was released via Made Now Music in 2026.<p></p></dc:description>
