OpenAlex Panel Dataset of Peruvian Universities, 2015–2025 Miluska Rodriguez-Saavedra (23594950) Higher education Financial economics Research, science and technology policy Research Output Data Scientific production;Teaching and research in administration and accounting OpenAlex Bibliometrics, higher education cities <p dir="ltr">This dataset provides a longitudinal panel of research output for Peruvian universities covering the period 2015–2025. It was constructed using publicly available bibliometric information retrieved from OpenAlex and institutional identifiers verified for Peruvian higher education institutions.</p><p dir="ltr">The main panel contains 1,199 university-year observations corresponding to 109 universities observed over 11 years. The dataset includes annual publication counts and citation indicators linked to verified OpenAlex institutional identifiers. Across the study period, the panel records 199,020 publications and 1,094,615 citations.</p><p dir="ltr">The dataset is intended to support empirical research on university research performance, public research funding, higher education policy, scientific productivity, and institutional heterogeneity in Peru.</p><p dir="ltr">The Excel workbook contains three worksheets: <code>OpenAlex_Panel_2015_2025</code>, containing the university-year panel; <code>OpenAlex_IDs</code>, containing the institutional crosswalk and verified OpenAlex identifiers; and <code>Unidentified_Universities</code>, documenting institutions that could not be reliably matched.</p><p dir="ltr">Publication counts correspond to works affiliated with each university in each publication year using whole counting. Citation counts represent the citation impact associated with works published in each corresponding university-year cohort at the time of data extraction.
