<dc:description>
This dataset contains the potential distribution maps (GeoTIFF format, 5 km × 5 km resolution) for 2105 terrestrial vertebrates (893 narrow-ranged and 1212 wide-ranged species), 15963 vascular plants (9472 narrow-ranged and 6491 wide-ranged) and 28894 insects (25545 narrow-ranged and 3349 wide-ranged) across the Chinese mainland. For species with at least 20 spatially filtered occurrence records, potential distributions were predicted using ensembles of small models (ESMs) implemented with four algorithms (GLM, CTA, RF and MAXNET) in the R packages biomod2 and ecospat. Occurrence records were compiled from GBIF, NACRC, iNaturalist, CVH, NSII and BIEN. Model performance was evaluated using AUC, MaxTSS and the Boyce index, and continuous suitability predictions were converted to binary presence/absence maps using the MaxTSS threshold. Species with fewer than 20 occurrence records were represented using an occurrence-based spatial delineation procedure (Scheme II), combining density-based clustering with cluster-specific hull construction. Scheme II used concave hulls with a concavity parameter of 1, with convex hulls or 2.5-km buffers used where necessary for small clusters. The resulting polygons were rasterized to the same 5 km × 5 km grid without reconnecting geographically disjunct clusters. These maps constitute the underlying data of the study "Spatial Synchronization and Determinants of Multidimensional Biodiversity and Endemism Across Multiple Taxa in China" (submitted to Advanced Science).

File naming convention: each GeoTIFF file is named by species name (e.g., Genus_species.tif), corresponding to the taxonomic lists provided in the supplementary tables of the associated article.
</dc:description>
