<dc:description><p dir="ltr">Ant-nest corrosion in copper tubes develops as branched tunnels beneath an almost intact outer surface; therefore, measurement from the outside without cutting the tube is of practical interest. In this proof-of-concept study, a flexible sticker-type three-electrode device was attached to the curved outer surface of corroded copper tubes to acquire aperture-limited impedance spectra without cutting the tubes or constructing an immersion cell. The measured area was defined by a circular aperture of 1 mm radius. Specimens with independently confirmed general-corrosion and ant-nest-corrosion morphologies produced different frequency-dependent spectral structures. The general-corrosion reference specimen gave a broad arc-like response without a persistent small-slope segment. For the ant-nest-corroded specimen, a high-frequency feature tentatively associated with a corrosion-product film was followed by a quasi-linear segment in the intermediate-frequency region, with an apparent slope angle of 10.0°. This angle is reported as a descriptive parameter of the selected spectral interval and is not used to determine the number of branching generations. These results demonstrate the feasibility of aperture-limited impedance measurement on curved copper-tube surfaces.</p></dc:description>
