<dc:description><p dir="ltr">Precipitation shifts are a major component of global environmental change and often co-occur with changes in surface solar radiation (SSR), a key but understudied driver of plant carbon assimilation and ecosystem carbon cycle. Yet, how these concurrent climate changes interact to shape ecosystem carbon fluxes and plant growth remains poorly understood. We conducted a two-factor field manipulation experiment in an alpine grassland on the Tibetan Plateau, a region experiencing substantial SSR declines, to examine the interactive effects of declining SSR and precipitation shifts on plant growth and ecosystem carbon fluxes. This data file contains observations of ecosystem carbon flux, plant growth, and soil hydrological conditions during the first 1.5 years.</p></dc:description>
