<dc:description>
Dataset associated with the spinal cord connectomics project and the evidence-based reconstruction of the mammalian spinal cord connectome.

The archive contains the neuroVIISAS project representation of the spinal cord connectome together with adjacency matrices and the anatomical region selection used for the analyses reported in the associated publication.

Contents of the archive:

SpinalCordConnectomeProject.brain

neuroVIISAS project file containing the anatomical regions and connectivity data of the reconstructed spinal cord connectome. The project can be opened with
neuroVIISAS.jar
, which is provided separately as part of the Software component of this Figshare project.

cumulated_adjacency_matrix.csv
and
cumulated_adjacency_matrix.csv.abg.txt

The CSV file contains the cumulated connectivity adjacency matrix. The accompanying
.abg.txt
file provides the corresponding anatomical region assignments required to map matrix indices to neuroanatomical structures.

direct_connectivity_average_weight_adjacency_matrix.csv
and
direct_connectivity_average_weight_adjacency_matrix.csv.abk.txt

The CSV file contains the adjacency matrix of direct anatomical connectivity using average connection weights. The accompanying
.abk.txt
file provides the corresponding anatomical region assignments.

bilat.xml

neuroVIISAS selection file defining the exact bilateral set of anatomical regions used to construct the spinal cord connectome analyzed in the associated publication. In neuroVIISAS, this selection can be loaded via:
Analysis → Advanced connectivity analysis → File → Load selection.

The anatomical atlas images optionally used for visualization in neuroVIISAS are not included in this dataset. neuroVIISAS may request these images when the software is started; however, they are not required for loading the connectivity data or performing the connectome analyses described in the associated publication. The atlas images can be made available separately upon specific request.

Together, these files provide both the native neuroVIISAS representation of the spinal cord connectome and matrix-based representations suitable for independent computational and network analyses.
</dc:description>
