Variables include soil organic carbon (SOC) content and density, microbial biomass and necromass carbon, bacterial and fungal abundance (qPCR), alpha diversity (richness and Shannon index), community composition (NMDS axes), and soil physicochemical properties for topsoil (0–15 cm) and subsoil (15–30 cm).
