<dc:description><p dir="ltr">This dataset contains processed ChIP-seq signal tracks in bigWig format associated with the study “Epigenetic gatekeeping enables genome-scale horizontal gene transfer in eukaryotic cells”. The ChIP-seq data were used to examine histone modification patterns in Chinese hamster cells containing transferred Cyanidioschyzon merolae genomic DNA, with a particular focus on the chromatin state of the transferred algal genome. The sequencing reads were mapped to the hybrid genome assemblies generated in this study. The corresponding hybrid genome assemblies and raw ChIP-seq sequencing data are available through DDBJ under BioProject accession PRJDB35839.</p></dc:description>
