<dc:description>
Replication package

This replication package accompanies the paper:
Making Computer Science Feel Possible, but Not Yet Teachable: What Pre-Service Primary Teachers Value in CS Role Models

The package contains the materials required to document and reproduce the core analyses reported in the paper:

the complete German questionnaire administered in 2026;

an English translation of the questionnaire for documentation and replication purposes;

the LimeSurvey survey-structure export, including the questionnaire logic and branching conditions;

a de-identified quantitative analysis dataset containing 281 submitted responses;

an item mapping linking the full questionnaire to the study-specific item labels used in the paper;

a de-identified qualitative coding file containing the codebook, coded indicators, and aggregate qualitative summaries;

a paper-focused Python script for the core quantitative analyses;

the required Python packages and analysis instructions; and

the generated quantitative analysis results.

The survey was administered in German. The English questionnaire is provided as a documentation translation and was not administered to participants.

The quantitative dataset excludes LimeSurvey response IDs, timestamps, random seeds, personal follow-up codes, and free-text responses. The qualitative file excludes verbatim participant responses, demographic information, and author memos.

The Python script reproduces the core quantitative analyses reported in the paper, including the RQ1 Mann–Whitney U comparisons, the exploratory chi-square analysis, the RQ2 Kruskal–Wallis comparisons, the Spearman correlations with Bonferroni adjustment, the descriptive partial correlations, and the family-contact analysis.

To run the quantitative analysis, install the required Python packages listed in `quantitative_analysis/requirements.txt` and execute:
```bash
python rolemodel_analysis_paper.py
</dc:description>
