<dc:description><p dir="ltr">This project develops a multifunctional Lf@PP-loaded supramolecular hydrogel for localized treatment of periodontal infection and inflammation. The platform combines PP nanoparticle-functionalized Lf with a CMC–CPP–CB hydrogel to achieve sustained local delivery, antibacterial activity, and NIR-responsive photothermal treatment. Its therapeutic potential is assessed against periodontal pathogens such as Fusobacterium nucleatum and Porphyromonas gingivalis, together with its ability to regulate LPS-induced inflammatory responses. The study integrates material characterization, hydrogel rheology, photothermal evaluation, antibacterial testing, and cellular analyses to investigate the potential of this system as a combined antimicrobial and immunomodulatory strategy for periodontal therapy.</p></dc:description>
