The study examined experiences in which sexual participation was understood as consensual or agreed while not wholly wanted, without treating agreement, unwantedness, harm, agency, or later appraisal as interchangeable. The research comprised a scoping review, formative interviews with relevant professionals, a quantitative survey, and narrative qualitative interviews with women, including repeat interviews with a subset. The survey analytic sample comprised 480 women and eligible gender-diverse participants; the transcript-based qualitative corpus comprised 57 participants.</p><p dir="ltr">The deposited materials, where ethically and legally permissible, consist only of de-identified and disclosure-reviewed documentation, derived data, codebooks, and analysis materials. Raw interview recordings, identifiable transcripts, contact information, consent documentation, and participant-linkage files are not included because of the sensitive nature of the data and confidentiality obligations.</p><p dir="ltr">For the formative expert interview dataset and participant qualitative interview dataset, HKU DataHub approved a README-only submission arrangement following written consent from the primary supervisor. The underlying interview data are therefore not deposited in DataHub because they contain highly sensitive and potentially identifying material for which anonymisation would not adequately remove confidentiality and deductive-identification risks. Metadata for these datasets are provided in this README.
